Today it's 75th birthday of INDIA .15 August is India's Independence Day. On this day national holiday is celebrated with celebrations all over India. The nation is lit up in red and white, with the national flag adorning every government building. Special Independence Day shows and supplements are published by print and online media. Television channels run movies about India's freedom struggle. Fireworks, drills, and cultural shows are all part of the festivities. Unlike many other countries, India celebrates the day dry.
As the country celebrates its independence day, many businesses and government offices are closed. Banks and post offices will also be closed. Stores and other businesses may close on this day as well. Public transport services are not affected, but flag raising ceremonies in major cities could cause some traffic disruptions. In 1947, India was celebrating its Independence Day on January 26, but in 1950, it was January 26 when the Indian constitution was adopted.
It was on this date that India became a republic. It is only after the Indian independence movement that August 15 was selected as India's Independence Day. Indians had won the right to self-determination in 1947, but it was not easy. Many freedom fighters died fighting for it, and the day is celebrated religiously throughout India.

The Indian national anthem is then sung as the Prime Minister salutes the nation. As a symbol of unity, the nation's unity and progress are celebrated. The first Independence Day of India was marked by Jawaharlal Nehru's raising of the national flag at the Lahori Gate of the Red Fort in New Delhi. This is still a tradition in India, and every prime minister follows suit. Prime ministers are then invited to hoist the national flag and address the nation.

IN INITIAL TIMES:
In 1947, the British Parliament gave India its independence, after the country's freedom struggled against colonial rule.
The act transferred legislative power from the British to the Indian Constituent Assembly. The date was chosen by Mountbatten to avoid further protests. There were special hashtags and commemorative displays throughout the day to mark the historic day. The " Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav "is one such initiative.
In 1857, the Sepoy Mutiny in Meerut triggered the struggle for independence in India. In the twentieth century, the Indian National Congress led the countrywide independence movement, culminating in the transfer of power from the British Empire. After the war, India and Pakistan were proclaimed independent. But the country had to endure years of religious conflict and turmoil. Nevertheless, the August Movement was not without its share of tragedy.
GANDHI:
Narendra Gandhi was assassinated by a Hindu fanatic during a prayer meeting aimed at ending the Muslim-Hindu violence. He is considered as the founder of INDIA.
